Terms and Conditions
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Lost Borneo Tours (“the Company”, “we”, “our”) and the traveler (“client”, “you”). By confirming a booking with Lost Borneo Tours, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and become confirmed once we receive the required deposit and issue a booking confirmation.
A deposit of 50% of the total trip cost is required to secure your booking.
The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before arrival.
Bookings made within 30 days of travel require full payment at the time of booking.
Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your reservation.
Prices
All prices are quoted in MYR unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change due to exchange rate fluctuations, supplier price adjustments, government taxes, or national park fees.
The final confirmed price will be stated in your booking invoice.
Cancellation by Traveler
If you cancel your trip, the following charges apply:
45-30 days before arrival - 40% of total booking amount
29-15 days before arrival – 25% of total booking amount
14 days or less / No-show - No refund will be issued
Some services such as park permits, special accommodation, flights, or expedition logistics may be non-refundable.
Changes to Bookings
Changes to confirmed bookings may incur administrative fees and supplier charges. Lost Borneo Tours will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested changes but cannot guarantee availability.
Cancellation by the Company
Lost Borneo Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify tours due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, political instability, health emergencies, or operational issues.
In such cases we will offer:
• an alternative itinerary
• travel credit
• or a refund for affected services
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, lost luggage, and adventure activities.
Some remote or expedition tours may require proof of travel insurance.
Health and Fitness
Certain tours may involve jungle trekking, boat travel, wildlife observation, or mountain hiking. Travelers must ensure they are physically capable of participating.
You must inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements that may affect your travel experience.
Passports and Visas
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet all passport, visa, and health requirements for entering Malaysia.
Most European travelers can enter Malaysia visa-free for short stays, but regulations may change.
Liability
Lost Borneo Tours works with independent partners such as accommodation providers, transport operators, and local guides.
We cannot be held responsible for delays, injuries, loss of luggage, or damages caused by third-party providers or events beyond our control.
However, we will assist travelers in resolving issues whenever possible.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
